The woes of broadband. It's not just reset the system next door. It's reset the system and reboot completely, meaning computer OFF push button ON push button. Too many bugs in this set-up and not all of them due to kidlings playing online. Have no desire to go to cable which is just as expensive and one hears slower, but...

Must share the smug. Ten days ago my left knee went on strike, as it were. Refused to ~~bear~~ pull my its weight. I spent the weekend going up and down stairs One. Step. At. A. Time. My doctor said arthritis or a stray piece of cartilage poking, while I say it's my stupid screwed-up archless weak-ankled hyper-flexible flat feet pulling everything out of alignment. Whatever. Logic suggested that since I could stand on the thing, just, if I leaned on the bannister and put less weight on it, having less weight to put on it generally must also help.
( (Ahem) )

Stop and start time on the information highway. As usual for my broadband- it always slows down on weekends.

One of the things I did on Wednesday, besides bicycling around in pouring rain to get my new contacts, was get my flu shot. The first time I did that seven years ago it left me feeling vaguely nauseated for a weekend, but I've had no trouble with it since. This time- ay caramba.
