Am having an attack of apocalypsosis. Think it's partly due to a head cold that hasn't quite manifested and partly to reading the news of the world in The Guardian and partly to dealing with government bureaucratic inanities. Bureaucracies reduce me to a weepy puddle of helpless pulp; I think it's because of the impossibility of reasoning with them. Apocalypsosis is helped by dinner and wine next door and my s-i-l's cheerful attitude that bureaucracies are to be outwitted, not co-operated with. I wish I were my s-i-l, or that I were married to someone like her.
