Bicycling to work today a penny dropped in re latest 100 Demons and I thought 'Ah-hah-ha! OMG! Ima-sensei misleads again!' Which I think she does. But a perusal of the story shows no point at which the segue that, if I'm right, must have happened could have happened. And yet something is definitely happening. And I shall be very interested to see if it comes through in Chinese, because it involves an anomaly in the way Aoarashi talks to people who aren't youkai or Ritsu. (And quick, how often have you actually heard human-Aoarashi talk to someone who isn't either of those?) From what little I know, I think Chinese could do it better than English, at least; but... but...

It's the sort of thing that makes me want to start buying Nemuki episodes again, even though I *know* she likes to drop her great cliff-ending points once she's made them. Like Saburou's metamorphosis, f'rinstance. There's the whole crow episode, and next you know, Akira's off to meet-a-date gatherings.

So this is completely random, but my dream last night took place in your house. No idea why. All I recall is the bathtub overflowing and the water coming up through the (beige rotary) phone downstairs. o.O;

Water coming up through things rings a bell with me Must have encountered it somewhere in my brainless hot weather reading of horror novels. Or maybe it's one of those Jungian archetypal tropes from the collective unconscious. Certainly feels like it, doesn't it?

My dream was set in France, where my grandfather, or maybe just his family name, had been declared the official Everyman (Name) for the city, and people were divided about whether it should have been a Dupont or something instead. Solar flares affect dreams, evidently.

just wanted to say that i've been having a mild but persistent obsession for 100 demons, that i have not been able to shake off for the past 5 years since i first encountered it (which was on your? old site i believe.god, the name escapes me) .not that i'm actively trying to shake anything off, cause why would i want to? it's brilliant. (quick answer is because i can't read it.no language, no dough)

nevertheless, your blog reminds me that there are people out there who like as much as i do, so thanks for that.

Over on Aestheticism before it got hacked, I assume. The first few volumes were translated into French, and I beleive there's English scanlations of the same in English, but even that project seems to have come to a halt.

basically, i will always have the scanlation which comes out in a rate of once per 3 years. i'll be raeading it well into my 70's ;)
