Mindfulness and meditation and meds have sweetened my temper considerably these last months. (I shall have a post some day about the Buddhist practice of metta, not to be confused with meta, though I think I do confuse it with 'God bless Mummy and Daddy and Gran and Teddy,' which it so much resembles.) But periodically something returns me to my wrathful howling self, and it happened today.

Garbage day. I neglected to bring the green bins in the minute they were emptied. One must bring the green bins in the minute they are emptied or else you will return from work at five pm to find that some public-spirited dog walker has stooped and scooped and bagged its canine's poop--- and deposited it in *your* green bin to sit in the 33C/ 91F heat and stink it up for the next week.

Yeah, dogwalkers in our neighborhood do that, too! I get so ticked off about it - not just because they're making life unpleasant for me, but they'e making life worse for our waste disposal workers, too.

Technically dog and cat poop does go in the green bin, but still. Even when I had pets I didn't leave their waste in small bags in the hot air. In a closed bag in the cellar until garbage day, was what.

Ah well. At least they cleaned up after the pooch. The ones who let their dogs wander and/or don't bother to scoop are worse.

I can't believe that!! I always carry the bag back to my own house or put it in the public trash, never someone elses bin!

Yes, but you're an adult. ^_^

Low lives we have ever with us. There are people who don't get their cats fixed either.

It's boorishness disguised as consideration! How passive-aggressive can you get?!

Cleaning up after the dog is a pretty strongly enforced concept here, but after that thoughtlessness takes over. Except I want to see it as arrogance: 'Dog poo goes in the green bin. Here's a green bin. Bye bye dog poo, and I don't have to carry it home.'

"It's not MY problem anymore, la la la la la!" And the inconsiderate boob and their dog skip homeward happily, singing a merry tune, while MJJ stands at her odiferous trash container and fumes. THERE AIN'T NO JUSTICE.
