Six years ago I was gifted with half a dozen boxes of manga (or maybe it was eight boxes. It was a whole lot of manga.) I've read maybe one box since that time. (I keep putting them in different-sized boxes and mixing and matching so it's hard to tell.) Karin and Yakumo Tatsu and Daisan no Teikoku and a buncha Belnes and a buncha Sato Shios and a buncha Kamitani Yuus and a buncha Ikushima Miyas and stabs at random BL I have now forgotten. Also completely clobbered by Sanbanchou Hagiwara-ya no Bijin that makes no sense, Taishou manga or no Taishou manga.
But I went through the boxes a while back and pulled some more possibles. And now, to my surprise, I'm reading a Racish series, Abe Miyuki's Komatta toki ni wa hoshi ni kike, and can't leave it alone. It has psychology. I mean, it has psychology the way western series have psychology, upfront and analyzed, not inherent and unspoken the way it usually is. This is odd indeed, but charming. If I still prefer the way Ze does it-- pictorially-- well, I would, wouldn't I?
Just, I wish people's grandmothers would stop dying. Raizou's grandmother had me weeping like a drain all weekend, and now Takara's grandmother looks to keep me weeping all week.

I think Asari thing that started in the Dear+ mag this week that's what making people T-T.
Well, it's sorta expected. He's been itching for it since vol. 1.... I still liked the Himi-Genma arc the best. Major ;_; indeed.

I appreciated the Himi-Genma thing for the info on how kami are made, but in general I don't have much use for the bastard!seme who's only like that because he feels so *much* poor woooobie, and the poor put-upon suffering-but-loving uke. Give me Ryuu and Moriya from vol 5&6-- much more inherently likable, i find. Though I'm impressed to find, on a reread, that the guys who are the focus of vol 5 make their first brief appearance in vol 1, anonymously collecting bodies from the Mitou mansion. Gives me hope that for once a mangaka has outlined in advance and isn't merely following her nose.

I do have the latest vol of Dear+ in Japanese- want me to scan it and send it to you?
Ryuu-Moriya pairing's kinda funny. I should send you the translated short side story that came with the drama CD. Ryuu came home puking drunk and Moriya teaches him a lesson the day after. I sorta like this pairing too although I've just started to read it in Chinese. Genma's stock mean seme; quite used to the type. Almost EXPECT them in a series that has several kinds. I liked Himi. :D
I thought the angst factor for Love Mode's a bit too 2D. I really like Ze though.

In all your copious free time? Arrrh, I'm torn. On balance no, but thank you for the thought. When I read ep by ep I lose the pleasure of reading the tankoubon when it comes out, and I also get on tenterhooks for the next episode and then it doesn't come out on time or is about something else entirely. (My Saiyuki scars, let me show you them.) Though if that ep drops any anvil-like hints about Asari's first wordmaster and/or Waki's backstory, uhh, do pass them along.
The short side sounds fun; in the manga all Moriya did was go huff and sleep in the chair. And I'm glad Love Mode isn't a must-read, because I want to read Ze without any preconceptions of what her usual characters are like.

It is very good, isn't it?
