On the up side, the spasmodic cough has pretty much vanished thanks, I assume, to the Very Expensive Prescription Nasal Spray.
On the down, the sore throat and gunky lungs are back, thanks to the tripled seasonal allergies. Will still count this as gain.
But dear lord I am tired.

I ask because the last time I did the rounds of "congested, can't breathe, sinus gunk causing sore throat" everyone from my family doctor to the ENT at Sunnybrook pushed it.
Thankfully, but whatever miracle of forced air pressure from my cpap machine, my allergies have been much less than usual so far. *knock wood*

I don't understand why the omnipresent sinus gunk sometimes causes sore throat and sometimes causes rib-breaking coughs.
You have a Cpap? My doctor was making noises about that, but I'm so much Do Not Want. Am afraid to have sleep testing in case it turns out I *do* have apnea.

Has to do with the thickness of what's draining down the back of your throat maybe? Thin stuff causes the sore throat and bad taste for me, while the thicker stuff... well. I'm sure you can extend the thought.
Yeah, my snoring got to the point where Kiro said go get a sleep test! so I did. And while the apnea itself is mild, it was enough that the doc prescribed a machine.
I've gotten used to mine. I haven't gotten such deep, solid sleep in years. Mask on, 10-20 min later, I am zonked out. and Kiro gets to sleep too. :)

Well, if deep solid sleep is the result, go cpap. I sleep that way anyway for the half year I'm on antihistamines.
