The garbage trucks did indeed appear after dark on Friday to get my recycling, and then cruised the neighbourhood all Saturday for, I assume, those who'd left their garbage out and not put the bins back in disappointment when they were passed by on Friday.
Otherwise is grey and cold and snows off and on, and I am grumpily disinclined to do anything but sit on the sofa and read things that don't interest me. Did have another go at the bedroom shelves, still no sign of Little, Big, but at least reunited all my Diana Wynne Jones in one place. Should move them up a shelf for handier reaching, but that would involve reshelving lots and lots of manga, and I can't stand for that long while doing it. With a chair and some sorting boxes, possibly.

Having all your stuff from a favorite author in one place is love and security. Nowadays mine are mostly available to me as ebooks, but that also means that the dead tree editions sometimes stay put.
"Sometimes" because Daughter goes on comfort-read binges when she comes home for 3 weeks for the winter holidays, and then things start wandering around. Our Discworld collection is currently split between Daughter's room and Husband's office.
Manga gets very voluminous very quickly.

All in one place is nice if you remember to put them back afterwards. I don't, of course, so books end up, at best, in 'right bookshelf, wrong shelf.' Frequently it's 'wrong room entirely', is probably why I can't find Little, Big. Thus one must sort and sort again. Last time I did a whole house resort was thirty years ago returning from Japan, and I don't think I could do it again.
ETA ohhh lord manga. Multi-volume and heavy and no one here wants the Japanese ones.
