Argh-what-a-week. A cocktail of things that induce hysteric reactions in me: rain, heat, early risings, and insurance companies. Determinedly read my Buddhist handbooks as a counteractant and count my breaths.
Meditation increases empathy, says the NYT. What kerblonxes me about that article is that people wouldn't offer their seat to a woman on crutches just out of common decency and good manners. Anyone so badly socialized needs more than meditation to help them, frankly.
