Seasonal blindness is upon us again. This is the mid-winter dry eye, as distinct from the November dry eye, the September, the July and the May ones. I wait to see if there's March dry eye, and then I'll *know* it's an every other month thing. Why it happens, OTOH, is a mystery.

Re-reading The Neon Court. Matthew really is a tit. The bird kind, I mean.

This is possibly caused by his being both himself and a lot of static in the phone wires, but I get no impression that he *wasn't* a heedless cocksure 'act first think later' type even before his metamorphosis.

I wound up getting dry patches on my eyeballs one year. I have no idea what made that particular year worse than most.

You have my empathy! Are you using saline drops or something for your eyes?

Dry *patches*? How could you tell? I just get something a contact lens won't stay on for three minutes running.
