Season's turn

Tonight is what my summer senses call cold. Lows of 8C/ mid-50sF. I will not not NOT turn on the heat for that. But I think of the Karin hero snuggling up to the White Tiger of the West and wish I had a White Tiger of the West to snuggle up with. Ah well. Beanbags and flannel pillow cases will have to do instead.

Definitely cooler here as well: I haven't quite turned the radiators on, but I have moved into heavier clothing. And I wouldn't mind a White Tiger of the West, either.

Now If I could heat one room alone, I might do it, just as I can happily cool one room with the AC. But at autumn temperatures I do agree with the English-- why heat a whole house when you're asleep?

And in fact one need merely close the windows and curtains and all is well. Except that closed curtains lead me into sleeping into noon, which to my shock I've just done.

Sometimes one just needs to sleep into noon?

Ahhh I can only sigh and reminisce about the turning of seasons due to tempreatures and the changing hue of foliage.

I suppose for me it would be that the last of the smoke spirals from joss and incense, paper money and clothes burnt to ashes dissipating into the atmosphere. And of course moon cakes. ^_^ Although I have given it a miss this year. Not sure what it is. An apathy of sorts that I still feel I'm climbing out of since the return from our holidays so many months ago now.

*sigh* happy reading and happy snuggling.

Have a good week ahead.
