Amen! Timeless and elegant - I want it! I also love the little bits of affection, like how Prince Harry was updating William as Kate was coming up the aisle, and how once she arrived he looked so almightily chuffed :D
Wish the guests were a bit more happy-looking though. Where are all the smiles people?!? Luckily, the rest of Blighty made up for it!! And me and the cat, watching it together on the TV :)
jumping in to comment here ... I agree about some of the guests looking a bit miserable. The children were gleeful about the hats decapitating some of the other guests hat they been edged with steel. ^_~ And there must have been half a dozen poor birds of paradise somewhere short of some tail feathers too.
we watched it halfway away round the world. it was lovely.
^__^ *waves* hello from Singapore. Hubby is English though, so he insisted on watching it, even half joking about me getting the bunting out and waving the Union Jacks from our windows. Ahahaha!
And looks like the very slanted looks-like-it-was-super-glued-on style was very much in vogue. One of the few tasteful hats was the Spanish princess' hat, no. 8 from this link (http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/amazing-hats-at-the-royal-wedding)
One thing I do miss about living in the UK is the wearing of hats. I love wearing hats. Sadly there isn't much call for hat wearing here. Mostly it's baseball caps and visors.
Agreed, Princess Letizia's hat was classic and a *hat*, not a modern art installation.
Anywhere that has sun needs hats, but they must be broad-brimmed. In my youth (=30s) I had broad brimmed straw hats with elastic under the chin to keep them on while bicycling in TO's winds. Now, alas, it's the fashion crime baseball cap to cut the glare, and they still blow off in TO's winds.

It's a lovely dress. It goes with her unfussy image: sleek and attractive and not pouffy.

Where did you watch from?
