This is why I gave up cruising the SFF section of bookstores a long time ago. Basically, everything looked exactly like-- well, what's here. (Warning: image heavy blog about godawful SFF covers. Warning: teeth grinding typos by the blogger.) I'm unclear whether those are the American or British covers; I used to prefer British versions, but maybe I shouldn't have.

And this gives a new wrinkle to the term 'jumping the shark.'
