Sinuses have me down.

Good stuff: Happy story from the FFL.

Bad stuff:

Twice through that with tiny kanji at top I knew what happened, though the correct answer (I assume-- the one highlighted) doesn't match what I'm hearing or seeing. Next year to pass JLPT you must pass all sections-- no pulling lousy hearing test marks up with reading and grammar. Fine. I didn't want your silly ikkyuu anyway. (Goes off to cry.)

Though I gather much gladness was had by the geeks present when the hearing test turned out to be a passage from Evangelion.

that first is a heartening story indeed. By the way I assume your mailing address is the same ... I'll be late for christmas n new year but I might hit ... the Lunar New Year ... ^_^ on time or Valentine's or something.

That was for Level 1 ... really? *cries* I want to go back to studying the language ... *sigh* more hours in a day would be lovely!

Famous last words, but... I haven't moved in a dozen years and hope not to in the near future. Don't sweat the Yuletide holidays; Lunar New Year is soon enough.

Yeah, very level 1. Cheeringly, it's not that much worse than what I was afflicted with ten years ago; but equally, I didn't understand those passages one time through either.

Ah, I recognize that trick from my ikkyuu-- "Here's a flaming fireball of jargon! And now that your brain is freaking out, here's the actual content of the passage, which is slightly easier to understand, only you don't realize it, because you're stuck trying to process that first sentence!"

Cruel and sadistic.

I never got as far as processing the trick. But thank you. Next time, if there is a next time, I'll employ that information.
