and they did it exactly the same, only utterly different.

Incidentally, all blogspot blogs used to have the templates in Japanese. This one has its template and author's information- age, astrological sign, etc etc- in simplified Chinese. Is this peculiar to me? And if so, does anyone know how I can make it appear in English?

The profile appears in English for me. Try Firefox > Preferences > Content Tab > Languages (at the bottom of the dialog box) > click Choose.

There may be a simplified Chinese in there that's confusing things.

Firefox displays it in English. This seems to be an IE glitch with Blogger. Even though I have English as my default language, it picks one that's below that. Why Chinese now and not Japanese as before, I have no idea.

Ah, I see. Or rather, yes, that is peculiar, but such is IE. :p

Indeed. Because if I remove all languages but English from the options and then re-add Japanese, the info stays in English. Add Chinese and suddenly Chinese is what I get. Chinese is clearly the dominant gene.

(I do wish Firefox didn't have such crappy font presentation, because otherwise I'd use it. As it is, only IE displays in solid pixels. This generation will be blind in ten years, she says dolefully.)
