He had far too much fun with puns in that book.

My knowledge of pop music being a thing of the distant past (well, he's same vintage, but clearly retains more than I do) most of the puns and jokes are like the background drone of mosquitoes. ('I know there's one around here somewhere.') *That* was a direct bite by a horsefly.
