Have finished the first disk of Gankutsu-ou. Uhh yes, Franz x Albert is in your face, yes. Makes the rest of the series look quite different. (At its worst 'The Count comes between Albert and his One Twoo Wub, the ho!!') Fortunately so do those French introductions which I can now at last understand (couldn't make out Nakata Jouji's French very well, and the Japanese subtitles wiggled when I paused them for reading.) They turn out to be pretty important because they're the Count talking to himself. The Count is bound on revenge as per the book, no surprise; but already the hint of complications arises.

Sure the box was snazzy but what I got stuck at for a while was after I opened the jewl case. Somehow the DVD art mezmerized me. I think it worked very nicely considering the art style of the anime and all.
