Slipping in under the wire here, Happy New Year to those who celebrate it.
It being over two weeks since I started coughing and went into quarantine, I figured if it was COVID I was now clear so I rollatored over to the super. And even though it's been over two weeks since the great snow dump, the impassable houses are still impassable. Or maybe more impassable because sudden warm temps have turned ice to slush. I had half a mind to take my chopper and walker down to see if I could clear even one before the further dumps come tomorrow, but my back was having no part of it.
I become tired of waiting. I waited two years to get the operation. I waited a month to get my knee to stop aching after the operation, and it still does from time to time. I'm waiting for the sidewalks to be clear enough to walk again. I'm waiting to be able to walk without a rollator. And I'm waiting for my back to stop spasming if I stand for even two minutes, and I begin to think that one will never happen.
I'm trying to be good with my credit card and the food I eat, but after three days of filling out a KFC order on Skip The Dishes and then closing the tab, I finally gave in yesterday afternoon and ordered both a Big Crunch and the new plant sandwich. Big Crunches hit the spot. Plant Chicken, which I had for lunch today, does not. The taste will not leave my mouth so blecch.
But my new furnace filters, ordered yesterday to replace the ones Purolator mangled into uselessness, came today, in a nice sturdy package that the Amazon guy hid behind my porch table. We do get reported porch pirates in this neighbourhood but I've not lost anything so far. But go Amazon anyway.
