The CBC is suspending comments on online stories about indigenous peoples because they bring the racists and bigots out in droves.

I would suggest the CBC close comments period, because all their articles bring the racists and bigots out in droves.

OTOH- 'DonaldTrump is like if a Comments Section ran for office.' Maybe all comments sections bring out the racists and bigots in droves.

I think all comments sections do. The Guardian's ones certainly do. Jaw-dropping bile against all the usual targets.

It's a mark of North American mores that the Grauniad's comments strike me as very subdued.
