Got a Fiesta shop in before the deluge tomorrow. Alas, they have cream puffs now and alas I have no will power where choux pastry is concerned. Bitter experience has taught me that eclairs are never as good as they look, but fresh cream puffs are marvellous. So probably a good thing that it's rain and gusty winds for at least the next two days.
In a fit of nostalgia looked up the Saiyuki Gaiden OAV, which retails for about $200 US when it's available, which fortunately it's not. Doubtless one of the streaming services has it but technopeasant me has yet to figure out how streaming services work.

Thanks for thinking of me but I think I'll pass. I found the first book hard to parse on the tablet, long dense books being like that. (Like The Bone Shard Daughter and Black Leopard, Red Wolf, neither of which I could get far into, much as I wanted to.) Also, it's a very bleak disheartening chunk of history that she's dealing with there. Not really up to seeing Haiti betrayed by the western world generally and Napoleon in particular.

(For what it's worth, in the book history turns in an improved direction.)

Oh really? That sounds promising. I'll check it out once it's available in dead tree.

Oh, well in that case, yes please. Though mail being as it is these days I won't expect it for a while.
