Here in Seattle, there's now some weird-ass "regulation" that if a restaurant has a lot of windows and roll-up doors, it counts as outdoor dining! because the powerful restaurant lobby (Seattle has gone in for tourism in a big way) whined and screamed about being shut down for so long (while they were doing delivery and takeout, but anyway) and said "it makes no sense to make us put up plastic shelters in the street where there are homeless people and cars when we can do outdoor dining inside because of windows!" And Inslee actually fucking bought it. So now there are restaurants opening up that have one or two big windows and a door open, at best, and there's going to be another goddamn surge, because God forbid we save lives instead of trendy restaurants the tech people WFH want to go out to after a long hard day of working inside at a laptop. //bitter
