And I wish I had a waist, too! I wonder if the street cosplayer/hobbiests who were trying to revive old Han era clothes as street clothes may be starting to have some impact on the real world.

Personally I'm all for anything that falls from above the waist, meaning influenced by Regency or trad Korean. Cannot understand the retro look going now- frocks with waists and skirts.
Persimmon is exactly the word for some of those shades.

It's also that if you have no waist, fashions designed to go in at the waist look weird; and even if you do have a waist, it still looks weird if you have any kind of bust or hips.
Saffron makes me think orange-yellow too- the colour of monks' robes.
