I bought some exercise bands to increase my upper body strength, just in case I have to use crutches after my knee operation. Tried them out briefly yesterday evening and suffered all night from twinging elbows. Well, and twinging knees too. So it's the elastic theraband for me, and trying not to trash my elbows too badly even with that. But yeah, no strength in my arms at all.

I started doing the same about six months ago - just a few light, slow repetitions morning and evening, and have seen noticeable firming of muscle and increase in strength. I started with a single light band, and now I use it doubled over, which I couldn't have done in May.
