I like to read, yes, but this is the second weekend I've spent indoors reading while reprising the last act of La Traviata, and it's getting old. Although I suppose if I wander into Old City Hall in a week's time, hacking, sneezing, strangling and weeping the way I have been this last week, they'll send me back home pronto.

And I did finish Sabriel in a day, which I've intended to reread for years and of which I remembered absolutely nothing from 2003. So there's that.

I've just been rereading Barbara Hambly's _The Time of the Dark_, which I think I may not have read for over a decade now...

At a certain age one runs into a superabundance of Past with all the books it contained. No longer 'my childhood favourite' or 'oh, what it is to be fifteen and like this stuff' but 'read that as a card-carrying adult twenty years ago my God!.

But the pleasant side of the coin is when it's still good. (Even if you _do_ spot a few small points... still very good.)
