I really have no idea why going west on Bloor  *always* seems longer than going east, and why even the blocks down to Bloor seem longer if I'm intending to go west rather than east. But west I went to the only wool store in the neighbourhood, which is veddy veddy upscale and doesn't have anything I could easily crochet with. Also is a pain to get into or out of with a walker, not to mention around in. So that was a bust. I miss my old dollar store and its reliable acrylic wool.

But since I was out there I indulged in a Big Mac, one of my guilty pleasures, then trundled onwards to the Shoppers to get tags for extra garbage bags.  I have a small bin with the cheapest charge which I usually put out every other pickup ie once a month. But if I'm doing a spot of death cleaning, a lot more will be going out, hence tags at $6+ a pop, only available at damnable Shoppers.

Then bought Jack Daniels coolers at the LCBO and came home, and am annoyed that my phone clocks in at under 4000 steps. Which is what I'd get going the comparable distance east to Brunswick, that I regard as a pleasant stroll. Relativity's a bitch.

Also annoying: downstairs tablet has taken to dimming the Kindle app so I appear to be reading pale brown paper. Neither the upstairs nor the phone does that, and I can't think why it's happening.
