Thursday, February 9th, 2023 08:44 pmThe sum of today's accomplishments was going down to the basement and turning off the cold water tap I left dripping a week ago to forestall frozen pipes in the polar vortex. Also dishes, under protest ie no more bowls or mugs left for breakfast time. But it rained the whole day through and the sofa was the only place to be, and I did acrostics and futzed about on the net and that was that.
At some point I will call the insurance people and tell them, again, that actually I do have smoke detectors on all floors and eve n check the batteries occasionally. Also they can cancel the 'limited sewer backup' dividend because if it's limited it's not going to be much use to me, and anyway the city replaced the sewers on my street, and anyway I have other things to do with that $500.
