(no subject)

Well, they said it would snow and it did. Started later than forecast, which allowed the morning commute to happen, but then bucketed down from noon onwards, stranding who knows how many. Heavy packing snow, the kind you make igloos with. Round about 4 I put on my hooded winter jacket and boots and umm shoved the snow off the front steps with my ice chopper. It slid very nicely. Then took the shovel and cleared my walkway, in spite of ebows protesting as they've done all week, and back needing stretching every few shovels. This is cheering, because  a year ago when I tried lifting the much lighter snow we had then, my arms very simply wouldn't.

Then I finished up the sidewalk, which I'm pretty sure Sadie's mom did earlier because the snow wasn't as deep there. There's more snow to come before morning, but that can wait. I need hardly say that I'm not putting my garbage out tonight. I very much doubt the trucks will get here tomorrow.
