Had a physio appt. at 11:30 this morning. Set my alarm for 9:30 and was awake at 8:30 with the hangover of a kimochi warui dream in which I was being pressured to have sex by a self-pitying geeky teenaged guy when I really wanted to have sex with this girl who unfortunately smelled bad, and my subconscious intervened to point out to the nerdy guy that actually I'm 71 and are you sure...? (I know I'm 72 but my subconscious believes one of the last two years didn't happen. Probably 2020, even if I remember more of it  than last year when the novelty of quarantine life had worn off.)

It snowed last night and I figured I should get the sidewalk clear so I could reach the taxi with my walker. But even as I opened the curtain to ascertain the damage, there was my Good Neighbour shovelling the walkway. So, though a little-heavy-headed, I had leisure to do  my exercises and eat my breakfast and catch up on my DW/LJ reading. And as I read I kept coming across entries that went 'My kid has had a cough for the last week and today tested positive' and 'My throat has only been a little scratchy, nothing else, but I tested positive' and 'my husband was just stuffed up but the test came in positive' and on and on. And I have had a chronic cough for the last few weeks and my sinuses are stuffed and my throat is scratchy and I feel warmish and achy. I'm morally certain it's a sinus infection with consequent post-nasal drip and cough, and/or allergies with cough, even as temps plunge to -22C which is forking freezing F. But. But.  I dither for ten minutes and then decide to exercise that abundance of caution and cancel my physio, both today and next Tuesday, and go online and, um, try to cancel my booster tomorrow but the page won't load. Get the pharmacy when it opens and he can't get the page to load either. "Must be a lot of people trying to book"-- oh, is that why?

Anyway, eventually I can rebook the booster and later in the day the physio's office calls and I rebook that, and alas it's the same day as my booster. This  requires me to have physio at my notion of Too Early in the mornin, and two hours later go get the booster. Which is a lot of cabbing about, but shou ga nai.

And then I roust out my saline rinse which I should have done the minute my sinuses started hurting, and voila! all my symptoms vanish. Oh well.
