The day before one has an early morning shift is not the best time to wonder if your alarm clock is broken because it was still going off at 11:30 when you'd set it for 10:30 (and thought you'd turned it off before leaving the house at 10.) Either it started ringing at 11:30 or had gone on ringing for an hour, neither of which is ideal. Have set phone instead, and hope it works.
