Seriously: all the lyric pages insist 'the women of Pompeii' appear twice instead of once, and they all sheeplike give 'and she would stand and made her understand him' as the fourth line of the bridge. (Except answers.com, which suggests 'And she would she stand later understanding.') I don't know myself, but boy do I know a mondegreen when I meet it.
