Warm and weary Saturday

Canada Post never delivers on Saturdays but sometimes it does, for packages. I do not understand this at all. But in any case, I now have The Farthest Station from [livejournal.com profile] incandescens, for which I am very grateful, since today was one of great wanhope. Many many thanks. Aaronovitch is a great lifter of spirits.

Have put maktak over the study/ bathroom vent and run the air ionizer, so Ratso's ghost is not quite as overpowering as it was. I'm resigned to a good two weeks of faint hints and cold back rooms, but that's how it goes.

Very glad to hear it got there safely! The post must have been a bit slower than usual - I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

I hope that Ratso's departed smell will soon be gone.

Definitely not Canada Post's speediest delivery to date, but very glad it's here.

I have ordered an odour-eating product that is supposed to work well. Maybe I can contrive to catch a cold as well, to destroy my only too sensitive sense of smell.

Given that you can smell the Lush products on things that I've knitted because I washed my hands with said Lush products, you have a very sensitive sense of smell.

I'm glad Ratso was a loner, anyway.

Or not, as the case may be. But in any case, there were mice as well whose ghostly presence I detect in the living room.
