How all occasions do inform against me

Yes, it was the daycare malaise, both varieties. Fingers crossed, but ginger tea and honey seem finally to have calmed the area. (They tell you stay hydrated and then say water isn't the best way to do it. And what is, may I ask? Evidently, ginger tea.)

And I've dropped two kilos, for what it's worth.

Good news, about the calming of malaise - and about the kilos, if you're wanting that. :) I think very highly of ginger in all manifestations, and have taken careful note about it being good for rehydration.
(This entry didn't show up for me on LJ.)

No problem! And thanks for sorting this out. :) Now to head over to LJ and see what's new there. :)

Congratulations on the weight loss: wish there was an easier way to do it. I hope the malaise stays away now it's calmed.

The scuttlebutt among the afflicted is that one's appetite takes a week to recover, which is fine by me. When I have these fireworks I have to eat lightly for three days anyway, to avoid a second act, and I would as soon be spared the desire for food.

(It's actually the easiest way I know of losing weight, but it screws the body up something fierce.)

My most efficient weight loss ever was the time I broke my jaw and was on liquids/squishy stuff for six weeks. Not really repeatable.

One would hope not. A 24-hour flu is peanuts in comparison.

*hugs* horray for ginger tea and the weight loss (although not so much the malaise) - gentle hugs.

Thank you. All I could think of yesterday afternoon, when I was feeling hollow and hungry and didn't dare even have water, was 'And people do this for a month??' Hope you're surviving your fast better than I did mine.

I'm glad you're recovering!!

Thank you. I wait to see if my very touchy innards agree with that statement.
