Freedom from worry
My online lens company now delivers via UPS or something, so even with a mail strike I will have lenses eventually, unless of course they misdeliver. But that's one worry out of the way. I mean, I have an extra month stashed away anyway, so I have seven weeks' worth, but am always antsy about getting my lenses. Even though in a fit of absent-mindedness I left my lens in Sunday night and didn't even notice until I tried to put another lens on top of it Monday morning and wondered why it wouldn't stick.
We're in for a day or two of seasonable temperatures, in spite of which I took my duvet up to the cleaners today. She says ready by Thursday, which is when we go back to mid-20s summer. Yes, well. Put not your trust in dry cleaners. I expect to have it by Saturday. And will see how a clean duvet works. Am still half thinking of buying a new one, but we will see.
And garage tenant finally came by so I no longer need to worry about getting downstairs for him.
Am also roasting a chicken at the moment, since it's cool enough to have the oven on. Doing it at a conservative 350F because Ina Gartens 415 may work on six pound chooks (2.75 kg), but mine is half that. Still smells good.
