The current state of the Me may be ascertained by the fact that I tripped out happily to my physio appointment and was nearly at Dupont when I realized I wasn't wearing my backpack. Ah well. So with going up and coming back and going back up to pay my bill and coming back, and taking roundabout routes because the guys still cleaning and repainting the corner building have blocked the sidewalk to effect same, I got over 4500 steps in, which is better than I've managed in days. Will say the guys are most gentlemanly: I came from the wrong direction at first, prepared to step into the street to pass the truck, and ground-level guy accompanied me to see I was OK. Even with TO drivers there wasn't much danger: a big ass truck blocking the curb lane on the other side of an intersection can be seen well in advance. But a nice gesture all the same.
The wind has shifted to the east ie the direction away from the prairie fires, so one may hope there'll be an end to the air quality warnings. In fact they have ended, but forecast still says 'local smoke' and, in spite of my sinuses, I still believe I can smell it.
