Classic May topos, cream-coloured cherry blossoms against a creamy grey sky. It's really too cold for open windows but I left the study one open a bit and smelled, first time this year, Outside inside my house. Woodsmoke, unless it's barbecue, and petrichor.

There's a clump of daffodils in the median between me and NNDs. They must have planted them last year because for sure I didn't, and somehow the squirrels have left them alone, as I think they have not my tulips. Or maybe it's just been too cold for tulips.

If it will stop raining and my elbows were up for it, I might attack some of the vines overgrowing the back fence.  They're looking encouragingly dry and dead except at the very back by the garage. Would be nice if they were, because they grow worse than weeds.

We could do with some of your rain. It has been unnaturally dry for weeks now. This just Not Right for Wales. Not even the bank holiday weekend could tempt the weather gods to supply some rain, though it has turned cold after the mini-heatwave.
