The oddities of weather in This Here Burg are that, when it was -13C/ whatever the bloody hell that is F, one pair of gloves was quite sufficient to keep my hands warm. Today when it's -2C/28F, I was desperately wishing for my mittens to double-bag my gloves. This is what no sun and occasional wind gets you.
Service Canada says it will top up my OAS by 10%, which if I calculate correctly will be an extra $80 a month. Since that's exactly the increase in my property taxes, I am Micawberishly content. Until July, which will see the mayor's tax increase come in. But by then Trump will have tried to annex Greenland and WWIII will be in progress and there will be Russian missiles coming over the pole.
