Speaking of first world annoyances, as we were, I shall add my personal annoyance at the overwhelming popularity of 'double roll' bathroom tissue (to the extent that single rolls are no longer to be found in the supers) because it isn't. We have old-fashioned single rolls bulk-bought at work, and they're the same size as every manufacturer's 'double! 12 rolls = 24!!!'

The quadruple rolls, if you can find them, now those are double.
