And here is the difference sun and wind can make. It kind of got up to 16C/ 61F today, but there was no sun and the wind was blowing and in short it was a very nice late October day and I was tempted to turn the heat on. Won't, because we'll be 27/ 80 by Thursday and the week after will be heat-wavy. So instead I assembled my Holmes fan, which was much less traumatic than the downstairs one. Very precise instructions including which way to turn the screws, because one was lefty loosey and the other wasn't. Had trouble with putting the front grill on because I'd forgotten that on Holmes fans, the clampy things that hold the two parts together swivel out so you can line everything up and then swivel down to close. No need to pry metal bits up, which is good because I couldn't. Did have to bash the little hook at the bottom into place with the pliers because I couldn't push it in, but that was all.
And after that I wanted a drink but there's a reason I have no alcohol in the house.
Took books back to library and had a hot latte at Ninetails and that was the sum of my activity for the day. But phones don't measure the amount of getting up and sitting down one does, not to mention the intermittent stretching and strengthening exercises required by spasming muscles. So I feel I've moved sufficiently.
