It's my toilet making  the noise. It's my toilet letting a little water in every 5-7  minutes. This is a well-known problem with toilets and once you've arranged for a plumber to come in at $220 an hour plus tax, some time between 11 and 1 tomorrow so you have to reschedule physio and be up at a retiree's definition of an early hour, the problem stops. Well, stopped for a good half hour.

Plumber may also be able to replace that damnable right handle/ faucet/ whatever you call it that turns water on and off in the shower, the one that isn't fixed and will come off in your hand unless careful, which will be worth it if it happens. It's been three years since I dumped a lot of money on this house-- though boy did I dump it in '21: fuse box, roof, kitchen pipes, and bathroom faucet-- and the money tree has been putting out new leaves this past month with the stock market recovering. Spend it while ya got it, though I'm not going to get a new toilet even if the plumbing co did say they don't last past ten years these days. Which is outrageous.
