Appointment today at the hospital about my elbows. Maybe it was the doctor's office futzing about 'can't access the x-rays', maybe it's just me gone feral, but I had serious bad feels about the whole thing. Called a cab for ninety minutes before the appt because I am Like That, and waited, and waited, and waited, and called again. 'He dropped you off at the hospital six minutes ago.' No he did not. I never know if it's drivers not getting the address right or lying liars who say Oh yes that's me, or both, but I hate it when that happens and it happens too often. So he sends me another cab that arrives in ten minutes and because I'm Like That, I arrive half an hour early. Do get called right on time, which is a plus, and the physio had my x-rays, even better, and echoed my long ago surgeon who said 'You have no cartilage left and a bloody big bone spur where it should be.' So am to have a CAT scan and a scraping out procedure to remove the spurs at least. This requires me to call people about getting an appointment, something else I hate, but too bad. Worth it if I can get some strength back in the right elbow. Because I wanted to transit down, but my arms are not happy about hefting walkers on and off streetcars that don't have raised platforms like the Spadina light rail. And my knee is none too happy in the returned mug and water weight bloat.
It didn't rain *all* yesterday-- I got out to the library in the evening to return The Fox Wife-- but it was on and off through the day. So I moved furniture in the bedroom and vacuumed all the corners I normally can't reach, and consequently sneezed all day. I should learn to mask up when housekeeping but masking while muggy and sweating is no fun.
I believe NNDs are away-- the same flyer has been stuck in their door knob since Friday-- but they now have something in their house that turns on and off at intervals with a whooshing noise, or like a tap running. This is new and I can't think what it might be. SND has something the same, which goes on for longer and might be a heat pump? but I don't think anything new has been installed next door. Shall get used to it eventually, and anyway fan season is approaching when I'll have my own white noise.

Phone trees, robovoice, canned music. It's not the telephones per se, it's the way telephones work now.
