Local TO blog is worriting about the cherries in High Park being, well, nipped in the bud or possibly the flower by our current recrudescent winter. There have been years when unseasonable (for recent definitions of 'season') snowfalls have killed the blossoms. 2016 and 2018 and yes I remember both those. 2016 was merely flurries but 2018 was several inches of slush dump. But what worries me more is that both those years went on to have hideously hot summers, which I hope won't repeat.

Mind, this winter! return is a single day phenomenon: temps go 6, 11, 9, 14, 9, 12. And the snow when it happens is that bouncy hail type stuff that falls for a minute or two and then stops, as it did this afternoon. But the blossoms on my cherry are indeed few and far between which may only mean it needs more sun, or that it's nearing the end of its life, or that I just won't have many cherries this year. The last of which is perfectly fine by me.

Managed another task, washing the bathroom floor, thanks to having located the mop with the detachable, washable, cloth business end. Did stairs with it coming down, lick and a promise as ever. Now must do the kitchen, but that may be for tomorrow. For now I return to Murderbot.
