Today was quite as unpleasant as forecast and I slept till 11 to avoid it. My Good Neighbour had done one pass over the slush but I went out and did another, more or less, because my elbows absolutely hate cold and wet. And what is this thing about pain being psychological rather than physical? If I could psych my body into not hurting trust me, I'd do it. But some days I hurt and some days I don't and it seriously has no relation to my body tensing against expected pain. Anyway, it continued to rain all afternoon and evening and temps will stay above freezing and maybe things won't be too swimmy when I have to go out tomorrow. Though I hope my new Toewarmers are as waterproof as advertised, because it will be swimmy enough.
After demolishing a Bailey's knockoff in three days, I really wanted more, but shall try to resist the urge. Alcohol is fine but cream is a definite no.

It did- is now windy and dry out there.
Thank you so much for the gift card. Perfect timing: I want a bunch of Roman mysteries in ebook and was debating whether I should splurge in a month when the gas bills are ridiculous. And now I can, and sit on the sofa warm and cosy, reading them all.
How are you feeling? I hope your case is mild and no worse than a head cold. Take care, and thanks again.

I've had bad cold symptoms, but they seem (cross fingers) to be slacking off, leaving me with an annoying lassitude. I'm hoping to be back at work next week - though working from home, which makes life easier.

Oh well, lassitude is a given, whether it's a cold or covid. Take it easy, anyway.

Thank you. I may splurge on the cream without the alcohol- full fat is supposed to be good for you- and have tea and crumpets.
