A dozen years after buying my sound system I finally got tired of not being able to switch from one CD to another with the remote, haul out the manual and start to read it. Manual says I can press 'next disc' on the remote, except there's no button called that. Then I look more closely at the specs. Manual is for an entirely different system. And I suspect the remote is for quite another system too, one with only a single drive.

So now I'm tempted to spring for a combined record/ CD player. I've been bringing records up to put out on the front lawn and umm I miss listening to them.
