We're currently thundersnowing, and no surprise: temps near freezing and heavy wet snow falling. Made it to the super to stock up in case we get those 20-30cm/ 8-10 inches, and passed my Good Neighbour on the way, who assured me he'd shovel anything that fell and not to worry. Which is very reassuring, given the stubborn muscle spasms I've been having all day. And I must resign myself to being the crippled form of old and not repine that I'm not the one doing the shovelling anymore.
Bro and s-i-l are having dinner with grandson up the street, blizzard or no blizzard, and were going to drop by for a visit on the way to pick up misdelivered mail. But by mid-afternoon I had a pressure headache happening and no guarantee I'd be up to conversation so I stuck the mail in my box and called to cancel. And spent the afternoon surrounded by beanbags and acrostics.
My new vacuum arrived, days earlier than expected, and a good thing too. Eventually I'll unbox the thing and see how it works, but for now I'm the essence of no ambition.
