Virtuous activity

The local Russian Orthodox church has been collecting stuff for Ukrainian refugees so I finally got my act together and went through the linen closet to see what I had surpluses of. Bath sheets, mostly, and table cloths. I doubt refugees need table cloths so I added a few pillowcases. I actually have a number of pillowcases that I don't use, because they need ironing and I hate ironing. (I could probably give the Ukrainians my iron as well  but then I'd need it for something.) Anyway I trundled my bag over to the church hall, which they've made wheel accessible: but the collection group was on the second floor, up a flight of stairs that my twinging back was having no part of. Eventually a blond male showed up and I left my bag with him. There's another collection on Saturday and I think I may give them my toaster oven that I never use. The stairs thing is a pain though.

Then trundled up to the clinic to book a chiro appointment. Doctor says my hips are mildly arthritic but not the problem, so I hope a chiropractor can get things back to normal.

Then took my sheets to the laundromat where two unmasked women were doing monster washes. Forgot to bring the kitchen washcloth that needs hot water wash. Will bring it when I return to do the towel and bath mat, which have to be done separately from anything white because the bath mat still bleeds red even after a decade of use.

Then came home and sat in front of the fan for a bit. Today was not as cool as yesterday but it was equally classic August, and I may still be able to get away with just the window fan at night.
