Wet dank clammy day today. A dehumidifier would be nice because neither heat nor AC would make the house comfortable. Very like Tokyo that way. I managed to get out to the supermarket in the 45 minutes it stopped raining today, alas. Alas because I bought bagels and sugar cookies and ate them all. Mind, I didn't eat much of anything else, bar a cup of home made chicken veg soup.
It cleared this evening but I wasn't about to go out again. It's tree shedding season on this street of lindens and maples and the rain turns all that into a paste. My rollator's wheels were coated with gunk from the two blocks there and back. I wiped them down with newspaper but still had to wait hours for the stuff to dry so I could brush the rest off and bring the thing into the house. Must do the same with my shoes.
Never realized how much evening shopping I do until Fiesta shortened its hours to close at 8. It's real inconvenience but hey, short staffed is short staffed.
