Curious

I left the front door open this afternoon when I went to massage, which is in a class with leaving the basement light on when I come up from the laundry room ie I'm too busy concentrating on one thing (getting the ferschlugginer walker out the screen door that never opens wide enough / getting myself and the laundry hamper up the last few stairs where there's nothing to hold on to) to remember anything else. Since I regularly leave the door open when I'm at home unless it's freezing or windy or both, I wasn't worried, because strangers don't come barging in to people's houses in this neighbourhood, or at least not into clearly non-yuppie houses like mine. Nothing is missing because nothing's worth taking except the woodblock prints by the stairs, and thieves intent on electronics wouldn't know their value.

But. I have a beanbag that I use for my poor spasming hip flexors etc when I'm sitting on the couch, and the beanbag is now missing. It lives on the couch and it's quite possible that I've lost it in the couch, which is piled high with extra cushions so I can get up from it, and several throws and blankets because the living room gets cold even though it has the only draft-proof windows in the house. A casual search reveals nothing but maybe I should take it all apart. Meanwhile I use one of my extra bags because of course I have extras, but I'd like my curved one back.

Speaking of hip flexors, I'm wondering if they'll ever unspasm. Likewise my lower back and the quads that turn to rock in the morning and the glutes likewise and and and. The day-long spasms are long gone, thank goodness, but it would be nice if this phase of recovery would go too, if that's what it is. I've been doing stretches for close to a year now, and can hold multiple bridges for ten seconds, but still can't stand for more than five without having to sit down and get everything back where it belongs. Which is a nuisance.
