Toronto is not nice to my guests

It snowed yesterday afternoon, then it rained yesterday evening, and petronia came back unsodden on account of having cabbed it from the AGO, but we stayed indoors anyway. Then today it stopped raining and was grey and mild(ish and we went out to dinner in Koreaville, and then it was snowing again as she left to catch the streetcar to the airport and I came home.

A week ago feels like it happened in another month in another year, which it did, yes; but far far longer ago even than the usual stretched holiday time. Visitors do add largeness to the world. Which I'm sure will contract at once as soon as I walk into work tomorrow, alas.

I had to get a taxi, actually -- something happened to cause police cars to block off a section of Bathurst below Bloor, and there were further rumours of a streetcar getting stuck on its tracks (these seemed to be separate problems). The upshot was no streetcars. XD; But then the airline seemed to have been having cascading problems all day, though my flight was late enough to begin with that it was only delayed by 45 minutes or so. But the lounge was overflowing with tired grumpy students having to get back to class on Monday.
