The glassy eyed shuffle is brought to you courtesy of an 8:30 am Monday volunteer shift receptioning at a local clinic. Getting up early is bad. Getting up to squint at Ipad screens and cell phone displays is worse. Doing all of these while facing a sunny street during the allergy season when eyes dry out like the Sahara is, well, something that must be experienced. Add it to your bucket list.

This will at least break me in to new technology, but so far I have to say-- most people's fingers are not the size of a chopstick so dialling on a cell phone is a neat trick (and how do so many sausage-fingered businessmen do it?) And Ipads hate people with cool hands like yanno me, and sulk and won't move and make me cry. Just sayin'. Luckily I get two Mondays off, for incandescens and paleaswater, but that's not until next month. We shall see how long this lasts.

I've never actually tried working with iPads, but I very much sympathise with having to be up and bright and busy at 8.30am on a Monday morning.

that's why you get a smartphone with a physical keyboard. It not possible to type otherwise on anything moving, even a train

I know I can't complain. There are people who are up at 6 every working day. I just don't know how they manage it.

You mean a keyboard under the screen? That's what this one has. The keys are still too small for my great big fingers.

Smartphone with a stylus is what's needed.

I don't know if you'll get a reply to that Discus comment, so: the Toronto night in question is Wednesday, October 24. I've been trying to figure out what the best way is to arrange this, eg. if I can afford to take the rest of the week off to travel elsewhere or stay an extra night in TO (since I have to be back in Montreal by Friday evening at latest), but so far not decided on anything. XD;
