Look what happens when you're out of the loop. There is, or was, an English translation of 100 Demons that came out last May, Amazon says, but the American subsidiary publishing it closed its office in April. Mind you, if they're going to call it Selected Pandemonium, or even Beyond Twilight, it's a good thing too.

Never released, alas. I was willing to forgive them the title if they just published it....

This was never published. I've dealt with Aurora - they pretty much stopped production of their titles almost 2 years ago. Since then, they've been trying to just liquidate what they have in stock (they've even put a call out to whole sale them). Last year was their last attempt to liqudate published titles at Ycon and AX. They call it the quits completely this year.

They'll be taking a huge loss on the the rights paid for a lot of these titles, to include this one. So this was never in circulation.

Hmm, how would one translate the title if someone ever does pick it up again...

I should google more, obviously. I'm assuming they got blind-sided by the meltdown of '08, but it seems odd when other English manga publishers managed to stay in business that they'd just throw up their hands and say We quit.

The live action series is released as Night-prowling Ghosts. I'd make that Demons instead, just because ghosts in English are dead people and youkai are... not dead people, whatever else they be. Bogles is what they are, but I don't expect other people to have my obscure vocabulary. (Or haints, but haints is a *placeably* dialect word, unlike bogle, and it's placed in the American south, so no.)

The live action series is release in English? Oh, I have really been out of it.

Night-prowling demons, hmm...

I wonder how hard it would be translate this series. I guess the trick would be preserving her misdirections.

Not in English. I got it from some kind of fandom wiki entry (http://asianmediawiki.com/Tales_of_Night-Prowling_Ghosts), evidently, but I don't know who came up with that translation. It occurs on a couple of sites, whatever.
