I should hate to have to stop using google, but that new sidebar on the results page may just do the trick. Stupid, intrusive and redundant, because the exact same options are already at the top of the page. Feh.

Well, try another tack. Why let their silly design experiments keep you from using a tool that works for you? It's still a pretty simple, non-busy page, even if the sidebar thing is stupid and redundant.

It's real? I read reports and thought that it was a wind up.

You can probably tell it hasn't got to my area yet.

It's my low resolution. The results column gets narrowed to annoying dimensions. I really hope they scrap the thing because sorry, this aging presbyopic isn't going to do 1440 x 900, let alone some of the higher laptop resolutions at which I'm sure the sidebar barely registers as there.

How odd. I assumed google was world-wide uniform in the English-speaking section of the net.
